What better way to say hello to Autumn than treating yourself to a remodeled kitchen that you’ll never want to leave?
Holcomb Cabinetry helped these homeowners in Chadds Ford turn their kitchen into a cozy, elegant cooking haven just in time for fall!
Our team drew inspiration from the rest of the house, which had traditional charm that we wanted to expand upon. By using natural colors like brown and cream, we created an inviting atmosphere that blended seamlessly with the entire home.
We began by focusing on one of the biggest aspects of a kitchen: space. To give the room extra cabinetry while adding to the aesthetics, we designed a peninsula. This also creates more countertop space – perfect for holiday cooking!
An appliance garage in the corner allows the homeowners to store items they use often but don’t want on display, like blender and crock pots. We also gave them an additional spice rack near the stove.
For the main cabinets, we picked out Brookhaven Cabinets by Wood-Mode in natural cherry with black glaze. To add depth of character to the space, we chose cabinets with varying heights plus open shelves at the ends of each side of the kitchen. The combination instantly draws the eyes to the room!
The hutch was done in a split pea color with an espresso glaze. This makes the unit stand out from the rest of the cabinetry. On top of that, it contrasts beautifully against the other colors around the room.
We also love the new beige granite countertop, which brings organic elements indoors. To complement the countertop, we chose a beige tile backsplash.
The kitchen looked so much more cohesive already, but we didn’t stop there! Wainscot panels on the back side of the peninsula added a dash of elegance.
For the final touch, we picked traditional Pendant lights and placed lights above and below the wall cabinets to really brighten up the space.
The kitchen now matches the traditional elegance of the rest of the house. Plus it’s revamped in time for the holiday season!
