Holcomb Cabinetry redesigned a beautiful Elkton kitchen where every detail in the cabinets, tiles, and appliances plays a major role in the functionality of the home. In addition, the new kitchen matches the unique personality and style of the home’s four flawless bathroom renovations.
Inspired by open floor plans of many modern farmhouse kitchens, the homeowners removed the wall between the kitchen and dining area. This gives the kitchen a 360° view of the downstairs, truly making it the heart of the home.
Wood-Mode (Brookhaven) cabinets in the Colony Beaded doorstyle add depth with their clean, vertical lines. A two-toned color pattern on the cabinets adds more visual interest to the large open space. The cabinets inside the kitchen are in the finish Vintage Lace and the ones outside are Vintage Shadow Gray.
Tons of extra cabinet space was added to the kitchen. The elevated cabinets on the peninsula (the Shadow Gray set) adds extra storage space in the dining area. The glass openings at the top of the cabinets allow the homeowners to easily swap decorations and add personality to the kitchen.
The quartz countertops are from Silestone in the color Lagoon, a bright, reflective white that makes the kitchen shine. The massive amount of countertop space is similar to that in a professional kitchen.
The homeowners choose a deep white farmhouse sink for style and practicality. To stand out in comparison to the primarily gray backsplash, a blue multicolored backsplash was added against the stove. Above it, they installed a sleek black chimney hood.
Exposed brick on the pillars and above the stove brings a unique industrial look that separates the space while still keeping the room light and roomy. Oversized glass pendants lights hanging above the dining area table elegantly finish the room.
Many unique elements were selected to complete this contemporary farmhouse kitchen design. This project had fun with a variety of color schemes and styles that all work great together to create the perfect mix of breezy, farmhouse, and industrial style.
